Did you know that Fairtrade Fortnight is taking place in the UK from 21st February through to 6th March?
This important event is the ideal opportunity for individuals, small businesses, schools, and communities to come together and support local makers, artisans, crafters, and farmers around the world.
The main goal of Fair-trade Fortnight, however, is to encourage people across the UK to share the stories of the deserving people who tirelessly work to produce the food we eat, the clothes we wear, and the items that decorate our homes.
Sadly, many of these people are exploited and underpaid but if consumers make a stand and buy only fair-trade items, they can help put a stop to these horrific practices.
By choosing to buy only fairtrade products that are eco-friendly, you are playing your part in helping deserving individuals and tackling climate change.
Here at Decorator’s Notebook, our business ethos is to stock products that are fundamentally all fair trade. We also continuously search the globe for new and exciting products made by local artisans.
We believe that if we give eco-friendly artisans the opportunity to create a viable business, and our customers the opportunity to support fair-trade practices, we are helping the world become a better place.
If you’d like to read more about the artisans that make our extensive product catalogue, feel free to have a look at their stories on our Artisans Page.
