UK MAINLAND

*STANDARD DELIVERY

Standard Delivery costs £3.95.

Expected delivery is 2-5 working days from dispatch.

We endeavour to dispatch orders received by 12 noon the same working day. Orders received after noon, at weekends or bank holidays will be dispatched the following working day.

We will email you to confirm dispatch and provide you with a tracking number. A signature may be required.

Please be aware that Standard delivery estimates are not guaranteed. For urgent or time-sensitive deliveries please choose our Express service.

Scottish Highlands: if your parcel is very large, heavy or fragile we reserve the right to contact you before your order is dispatched to discuss additional delivery charges with you. On any such occasion you will have the option to cancel your order for a full refund.

Express Delivery costs £7.95.

Next Day courier delivery for UK mainland addresses when you order before 12 noon. Express deliveries are made Monday - Friday only.

We endeavour to dispatch orders received by 12 noon the same working day. Orders received after noon, at weekends or bank holidays will be dispatched the following working day.

We will email you to confirm dispatch and provide you with a tracking number. A signature will be required.

 

FURNITURE DELIVERY

Furniture is only available for delivery to UK mainland addresses (not Northern Ireland, Scottish Highlands or any outlying islands).

Free delivery codes and offers are not valid on furniture orders.

Furniture is dispatched from a separate warehouse to all other items so delivery charges cannot be combined and delivery times will not be co-ordinated.

Dining chairs, stools, ottomans: £15 per order

Upholstered armchairs: £75 per order

OFFSHORE ISLANDS, NORTHERN IRELAND, CHANNEL ISLANDS

Delivery costs £8.95.

This rate applies to the following postcodes: HS1-9, IV40-51, IV55-56, KA27-28, KW15-17, PA20, PA41-49, PA60-78, PH42-44, ZE1-3 (Scottish Islands), TR21-TR25 (Isles of Scilly), PO30-PO41 (Isle of Wight), all JE (Jersey), all GY (Guernsey), all BT (Northern Ireland).

Expected delivery is 3-7 working days from dispatch. However, please be aware that Royal Mail does not guarantee this. Express Delivery is not available to these destinations.

EUROPE (INCLUDING ISLE OF MAN)

We deliver to the European countries listed in the table above. 

Delivery costs £15.95 for the first item in your basket, plus £2.50 for each item thereafter, up to a maximum of 6 items. If you wish to buy more than 6 items please email us for a bespoke delivery quote.

International deliveries are dispatched twice a week (Tuesday and Friday). Your items will be sent by DPD courier. Delivery to most European countries is 2 - 8 working days from dispatch. You will be provided with a tracking number which will give you accurate delivery information.

The delivery and returns policy for EU countries matches that for UK orders. We reserve the right to refuse delivery of particularly large or fragile items. On any such occasion you will be notified and issued a full refund.

Customs charges and taxes are not usually payable on orders sent within the European Union. Decorator's Notebook does not accept liability for any local customs charges, handling fees, duty or taxes, or for any delays that may occur if a parcel is held.

Delivery is available for mainland Europe only and does not apply to any offshore islands or territories. Couriers may also refuse delivery to particular remote locations, so please contact us prior to ordering if you are concerned this may apply to your delivery address.

 

USA

Delivery costs £19.95 for the first item in your basket, plus £4.50 for each item thereafter, up to a maximum of 6 items. If you wish to buy more than 6 items please email us for a bespoke delivery quote.

Your items will be sent by Tracked Airmail. International deliveries are dispatched twice a week (Tuesday and Friday). Estimated delivery is 2 - 8 working days from dispatch. You will be provided with a tracking number which will give you accurate delivery information. 

Our delivery prices do not apply to any offshore islands or territories. Couriers may also refuse delivery to particular remote locations, so please contact us prior to ordering if you are concerned this may apply to your delivery address.

Orders containing goods worth less than $200 US will not usually incur import charges. However, please make your own enquiries locally as Decorator's Notebook does not accept liability for any local customs charges, handling fees, duty or taxes whatsoever, or for any delays that may occur if a parcel is held.

We reserve the right to refuse delivery of particularly large or fragile items. On any such occasion you will be notified and issued a full refund.

 

REST OF THE WORLD

Decorator's Notebook may be able to deliver to other destinations worldwide. CONDITIONS AND EXCLUSIONS FROM OUR DELIVERY POLICY

 

Please make sure someone will be at the delivery address to receive your parcel. Please do not leave instructions for parcels to be left in an alternative location (shed, garage, neighbour etc) as we do not accept liability if you do this and fail to receive your parcel.

We cannot deliver to BFPO addresses or PO boxes.

During periods of poor weather, industrial action or exceptional demand the stated dispatch and delivery timescales may not apply. We will do everything we can to get your parcel to you as soon as possible, but we are unable to offer refunds for delays.

Expected delivery for Standard Delivery is 2-7 working days. However, please be aware that Royal Mail states that, on rare occasions, delivery may take up to 14 working days. Unfortunately, we are unable to pursue claims for lost or delayed deliveries until this time has elapsed.

It is the buyer's responsibility to provide a complete and accurate delivery address. Please check it carefully as address labels are printed automatically as soon as your order is placed. We do not accept responsibility for any items lost or undelivered due to an incorrect or incomplete address being provided.

Couriers will make every effort to successfully deliver your parcel. However, if the address is incomplete, they cannot obtain a signature or your parcel is not collected from the depot within a certain period, it may be returned to sender. Re-delivery charges will then apply.

 

CHANGING OR CANCELLING AN ORDER

 
Decorator's Notebook works with an expert delivery warehouse and our team start getting your parcel ready for dispatch as soon as your order is received by our website. By doing this we can get your items to you quickly and efficiently, but it also means we usually can't change or cancel an order once it has been placed.

 
If you need to amend your order please contact us immediately and we will help if we can. However, if your order has already been processed changes cannot be made. If you wish to order further items you will need to place a new order and pay the relevant delivery charge. For unwanted items you will need to wait for the item to be delivered then follow our returns procedure below.

 


RETURNS AND REFUNDS


 
We want you to be happy with everything you buy from Decorator's Notebook. If you're not, please email hello@decoratorsnotebook.co.uk with the subject line "Return" within 14 days of receipt, notifying us that you wish to return the item. Remember to tell us your name, order number and explain which item(s) you want to return. You must post items back within 14 days of the date you notified us. 

Please be sure to email us before you post the item back so that we can ensure your return is processed smoothly. Keep your dated proof of postage receipt until the returns process is complete. Please note that we are unable to process refunds for items lost or damaged during return postage and recommend that you obtain adequate postal insurance to cover you in this instance.

We make every effort to package your items safely, but in the unlikely event that an item is faulty or broken in transit, we reserve the right to issue a refund (rather than a replacement). Photographic evidence of breakages will be required showing the item and all the packaging it arrived in. 

Once the goods have been received by us we will arrange a refund or exchange as appropriate. Refunds will be made to the credit or debit card or Paypal account of the person who originally placed and paid for the order within 14 days of us receiving the returned item.

 

CONDITIONS AND EXCLUSIONS FROM OUR RETURNS AND REFUNDS POLICY

 
Sorry, but we do not refund your return postage unless an item is faulty. Please make sure you obtain proof of postage and adequate postal insurance to cover items being returned to us as we cannot give you a refund if we don't receive the goods back safely.

Neither return or outgoing postage costs will be refunded for unwanted items on orders delivered outside of the European Union.
 
Unwanted items (unless faulty) must be returned in re-saleable condition. This means that the items are undamaged and unused and returned in the original packaging with any labels attached. All items are checked once we receive them back before a refund is issued and we reserve the right to reject a refund request if we consider a returned item to be unsaleable for any reason.  

Handmade products and items made from natural materials will have individual variations in shape, colour and size and style. We don't accept these items as faulty and we will not cover the cost of return postage. Vintage items and products made from recycled, reclaimed or repurposed materials will have signs of age and variations in shape, colour, size and style. Gift vouchers, personalised items and items made or cut to order cannot be returned, refunded or exchanged under any circumstances.

Earrings cannot be returned or exchanged under any circumstances for hygiene reasons.

Items purchased as a gift can only be refunded to the card of the person who placed and paid for the order.
